My name is Jim Cheshire and I'm crazy about gear and gadgets. I have a lot of hobbies, and all of them require gear. When I set out to find a piece of gear, my goal is to find the type of gear that will stay with me for a very long time and that will fill all of my needs; what I call "cool gear".

Finding cool gear isn't always easy, and that's why I created this site. My goal is to help you find the right gear for your needs. Nothing's worse than gear that fails you, doesn't work right, and makes what should be enjoyable frustrating. I enjoy writing (I do it for a living), so this site is the perfect opportunity for me to use my writing to share all of my other passions with you!
